Oh my, oh me--looks whose 3!!
Oh goodness--three years ago today we met Foster and what a wonderful little boy he has become. His love of fire engines, trains, books, air planes, helicopters, and huge imagination make us laugh everyday. One of Foster's favorite things are birthdays as well, especially the blowing out candles, opening presents, eating cake part. A big birthday can't be celebrated in just one party, so we had several, one of the 4th so we could celebrate with our family and then one on the actual day. He has been loving the Curious George books lately, so a Curious George birthday cake seemed appropriate.
Foster got some amazing gifts, a piano you can play with your feet, a Royals shirt and a pilot uniform. The rest of the day he was giving everyone flights to Kansas City, India, and Banja Luka. With over 15 adults there who were happy to play along, Foster's dream of being a pilot came true.

| And on his real birthday Foster got to celebrate with playing with cousin Olivia and more songs and cupcakes (of course)! |

Celebrating the 4th
The Fourth of July has always been a big holiday for Sutton's family. We were lucky to get to spend it not only with her family but Grandma Becky, Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Jim and their kids Steph and Brian. It was a beautiful day at the Lake, filled with catching up with family and friends and being entertained by Foster's swimming/jumping in antics. Such a great day and hopefully some good memories for everyone!
And off we go
We headed back to the midwest for a few weeks, to introduce Kai to the rest of our family, surprise Aunt Jen at her baby shower and of course so Foster could enjoy the swimming, boat-riding, fishing fun at the lake. Kai did well on his first trip, not making a peep on the plane or the drive to Des Moines, looks like he will be a good little traveler like his big brother.

And on his Farm he had a.....
One of Foster's favorite songs came to life when we visited a local farm. Although not far from the city, the farm still had pigs, cows, chickens, a real garden and of course tractors (Foster's favorite, although a close second were the pigs wallowing around in the mud). We felt like we had walked onto Old McDonald's Farm, red barn and all.

Air and Space Museum with Grandma
While Grandma was here, we made a special trip to the Udvar-Hazy Center, which is part of the National Air and Space Museum downtown. There are 2 hangers full of airplanes, helicopters, and space ships--everything that an airplane loving almost three year old could ever want!
