Saying our goodbyes in Hyderabad

One of the hardest things about this Foreign Service lifestyle is all of the goodbyes that you have to do. After a short 2 years in which we made lots of new friends, we have to turn around and say goodbye.  Not an easy task.

One last scooter ride with Yousuf.

Lots of goodbye hugs at school.

Goodbye to the Foster's teachers.

Goodbye to Sheela and Yousuf.

One last Baskin Robbins trip with our friends from Fortune Enclave.

Farewell Hyderabad

On January 31st, we will leave Hyderabad. Can't believe how fast these 2 years have gone. Foster was a baby when we arrived and now is his a little walking, talking, running, cake-obsessed little boy. We have had so many wonderful experiences here and made so many friends that we hope to keep in touch with. Life was not always easy here, but we met many people who made the journey lighter along the way. We will forever be changed by our time here.

Hyderabadi Christmas

The holidays are an especially difficulty time to be living away from family and friends, missing out on traditions and the chance to meet up with old friends. Luckily, we have found some great friends in Hyderabad and had a wonderful day with them, eating wonderful food, making Gingerbread houses and getting our photo taken in Santa's own specially designed tuk-tuk.

Some of the Consulate drivers, including Youseff at the back.

Making Gingerbread houses, although Foster was more interested in eating the decorations.
