Say Cheese!

Going to a grocery store when traveling outside of India is becoming a common ritual.  One that the whole family enjoys.  Food choice and freshness is something we all have much greater appreciation for now.  As part of this experience, Foster was pretty excited to see blocks of cheese bigger than his head.  Sometimes we just miss the simple things in life.  

Great Ocean Road, Australia

We took the day to cruise along the Great Ocean Road in Austraillia.  The drive was very scenic and we stopped to check out a few beaches along the way.

We stopped at this beach in Picton, NZ.  It was such a pretty setting and great to watch the boats come in and out of the harbor.

Going on a Train Ride!

"Going on a train ride" was a phrase repeated by Foster for days after this experience.  We caught this scenic train ride along the coastline of New Zealand's south island.

Itinerary
March 15 leave Hyderabad at midnight for Jakarta
March 15--17th stay in Jakarta with an exchange student that Sutton's family hosted over 20 years ago
March 17th--20th--Melbourne, Australia
March 21st--23nd-Nelson, New Zealand
March 24th--drive a car to Picton and then take the train to Christchurch
March 25th--Queenstown
March 26th--drive to Te Anu a two hour drive from Queenstown
March 27th--take a cruise through the fiords of the Doubtful Sound
March 28th--Queenstown
March 29th--Auckland
March 30th--head back to Hyderabad

Going for a bike ride

While we were on vacation Foster got a chance to go out for his first bike ride.  We cruised around the city of Nelson and took in the beautiful scenery along New Zealand's coastline.  Foster was having a great time which led him to take a nap in a seemingly uncomfortable spot on the bike carrier. 

Jumping and Swimming

As it gets warmer in Hyderabad Foster has gotten to start doing two of his favorite things jumping into the pool and swimming on the beach.
