An Auspicious Start to 2021!

Foster has been begging and wishing for a snow day for weeks now. Literally he was in tears when he thought DC had gotten flurries in November. He also told me that he wanted yes to live in Russia so he would have snow.

Then on January 1st we woke up to about 6 inches that stuck around for a few days. Enough time for snowball fights, fort building, snowman building and lots of sledding. We went to Sycamore Hills park and then to Keystone Park in Blue Springs. 

Welcome 2021!

 We were ready to say goodbye to the challenges of 2020 and looking forward to what 2021 brings.

When we were in Iowa Foster made a wish when he broke the wishbones that Grandma Becky had saved from the cornish hens.  His wish--16 inches of snow!!

An omen that 2021was off to a good start--his wish granted. Around eight inches of snow.  Good for sledding or rolling down the hill at Sycamore Hills school and building forts.
