Huggy goes to School

Foster decided that Huggy needed to head to school today--in style and equipped with toys and a full bottle, of course.

This was a rare event for this little police-playing guy who is usually all boy and never acts maternal or wants to play with a doll.  But he took his job very seriously, we were crossing the street and an impatient driver crept up on us--Foster protectively waived her away--didn't she see the important package he was in charge of.

Not many times in my life when I will have the time and patience to do this and we are living close enough to walk to school.

Međunarodni dan žena

Here in Bosnia, March 8, International Women's Day is a big deal and is seen as Mother's Day.  The preschool celebrated by having a breakfast for Moms in the morning with the big kids and then Kai's class had a tea in the afternoon.  It was lots of fun to see the boys at school and for them to show us what they do.  Foster got many compliments on his singing, I think because he is loud, everyone notices :) The kids also showcased some of the dances they are learning in class.

I also got gifts from the boys.  Foster's had a note on the back of why he loves me, which included, "because she gave me my brother," which was sweet and then also "she gave me my police costume and let's me watch Magic School Bus, of course.

Sunday Morning Sleeping In

Waking Dad up on the weekends is an important job. Also, caught some sweet picts of our littlest guy who is growing up every day.  Continuing with this sock obsession from when he was tiny, he now loves to put on dad's (or mom's) shoes and then stumble around. You can start to see his hair coming in, hoping that he will keep the curls, which are peaking out form his ears.

Dress up

Foster loves dress up so much, he talks about Halloween costumes ALL YEAR ROUND! Last weekend we made a robot costume that "we have to save for Halloween," and the weekend before that he was a dog catcher, extra bonus that he could use the police costume. And of course Kai, ever the liitle side kick insists on his own costume.

Weekend Adventures

The cold weather has forced us to stay inside a lot during January and February and our living room has come to life, the couches are trains to Sarajevo, the living room floor has hosted many dance parties, there has been scuba diving, a life guard control center, a fishing pond, fire station (of course) and a robber hide out (as Office Foster tries to find the thief who is hiding).  Kai has even started tagging along in all of these adventures.

A little reading in my duchy tub.

Thanks for Beeing my Friend

We had a mini-Valentine's Day celebration, heart pancakes for breakfast and delivery of cards to everyone at the boys' school.
