First Road Trip from Banja Luka

We took advantage of the 3 day weekend, rented a car and headed south about 2 hours to Jajce, where we looked around a castle. Foster loved going through the tunnels on the road and John got his first experience on driving in Bosnia, definitely not for the faint of heart. It started raining and the boys both fell asleep, so we headed out of town. On our way home, we had to pull over to see the full rainbow in the mountains. Then it was on to see some of the old mills which are run by the water in the river. Can't wait to come back and see these in the Spring.

The great DC Snow Storm---Snowzilla

Winter came all in one weekend this year--all 24 inches of it in three days. The snow started on Friday night and just get going and going until Sunday. We made the most of it, Foster loved the hot chocolate the most. Grandma Meagher was visiting but didn't bring any winter gear so she stayed inside. We were lucky that our neighbor dug out our the drive way on Sunday evening, so we were free. Our street was never dug out though. Although we had to cancel our goodbye party, we still got to see friends who lived close enough to walk. We did some sledding in the park (well more cookie sheet sliding) and snow ice-cream yum!!

A little late--but Kai is 8

With all of the moving we have been doing, posting these a bit late, but Kai is eight months old. He is a big fan of stealing his socks off and using them to suck his thumb, He is just so proud of himself when he manages to grab them off of his feet. He still isn't loving tummy time, but loves to sit up and play with anything that he can grab, especially kitchen spoons.

First picts of our new city--Foster tries out ice skating

And finally we made it to Banja Luka---three different hotel rooms, two flights, one long car trip over the mountains and we arrived. They are having an early spring here, which has made the transition so much easier. We are loving getting to walk everywhere and try all of the new restaurants. Foster got to try out ice skating for the first time, not such a fan I am afraid.
