Fall Fun Amidst the Pumpkins

As part of our continuous goal of squeezing as much "american culture" as we can into our time this year--we visited a nearby farm with our good friends for some hayridin', pumpkin patch, barn slidin', apple cider donuts fun!

Painting the car

Foster decided last weekend that our car needed a new coat of paint, so he out on his head band, Hawkeyes shirt and special gloves and began to paint the car. Lucky for him there was lots of dirt and dust to be moved around.

It's so much fun to watch how the boys interact these days. Kai just loves watching Foster and Foster loves to make Kai laugh.

Camp Fire

Last weekend when I asked Foster what he wanted to do over the weekend, out of the blue he said "camping." Strange since we are not big campers ourselves and had never even talked about it with him. John was away on Saturday and the weather was icky outside, chilly and gray and rainy, in other words a perfect day for a campfire inside. So we fixed up our tent, made some hot chocolate on the stove and some smores in the oven and cozied up to our Youtube crackling camp fire on the Ipad and read some Halloween books.

2 Brothers = Love

It has been so much fun to watch Kai and Foster interact. Kai just loves to watch Foster and Foster loves to make Kai laugh and how protective of Kai Foster has been. Even if it is to say "mom, go take care of baby Kai he is crying," or "don't forget Baby Kai."

I know one day that there will be fights over toys and other things, so I am enjoying these sweet moments while they last. Like yesterday when we were getting ready to go somewhere and I was rushing around and Kai was being fussy so Foster got up  on the couch and grabbed his hand.
