Introducing the infant lap desk.

Perfect for stay at home parents and those who have to care for an infant but have other things to do such as our model here, who is doing word search puzzles.

Things going on around our house

We have lots of pictures of special occasions and vacations, but we often forget to take pictures of the boring, day to day things. But once in awhile it's important to stop and remember the things that make up those other days. Like the other day when Foster told me that he needed to "feed" huggy bear, you can tell he has been watching me feed Kai a lot the last few months and Kai has started giving us the sweetest smiles the last few weeks.

Lots of talking going on

Once Foster wakes up in the morning, unless he is sleeping, he is talking about everything and anything, especially pretend stories about his fire engines and planes.

And now Kai wants in on the action, cooing and "talking" lots too

Visiting the County Fair

Since we have been back in the U.S. we have been trying to indoctrinate Foster with everything American. Recently, a county fair came to a park near us and nothing says U.S. of A. more than ice cream, funnel cakes, rides and pig races. Foster loved getting to ride the train and the fire engine.

Looking back

Facebook reminded me yesterday of a what was going on in our life 3 years ago.

So sad to leave the Lake and K.C.

The last five weeks flew by. We packed so much fun into these weeks. Foster is almost permanently pruned from being in the water so much. We were all so happy to see John at the airport. Foster was so excited that he told the stewardesses "My dad is going to be our taxi driver," and some random stranger "My dad is going to give me a bear hug when we meet him." One of my favorite memories is Foster racing down the terminal to greet John.

Foster helping Kai learn to balance by putting a giraffe on his head, or just finding a place to keep his toy for a bit.

Visit by Mira

Twenty one years ago Sutton's family had a woman with Indonesia stay with us for the year. We have kept in touch with her and when Sutton was home on maternity leave.

Two Months

Happy two month birthday Kai! You have moved from being a newborn into an official baby. Holding your head up, turning and looking at everything, working on your leg muscles, these are all of your new tricks. You weigh over 14 pounds and mom is getting strong muscles carrying you around. You are sleeping about 8 hours a night, which we love, maybe you got your dad's sleeping genes. You also love watching your brother and are pretty patient when he "loves" you too hard.
