Going on a Tuk Tuk ride

Foster found his calling as a Tuk Tuk driver.  I have a feeling Tuk Tuks will be missed once we leave India.

Trip to Hampi

Last weekend we took advantage of the three day weekend due to India's Independence Day and traveled to Hampi with some friends.  We traveled by train and spent the short holiday weekend touring temples and relaxing outside of Hyderabad.  The trip was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Hyderabad. Both the temples and the train proved to be quite an experience. Foster especially enjoyed the trip as his friend Anna came along for the fun.

Just like Dad

Foster is definitely into mimicking and repeating us these days. It's scary how intently he must "study" us, as his imitations, using the telephone, talking to each other, are usually spot on. Dad loves to read his news in the mornings in bed. He can be found snuggled under the covers, the glow of the computer lighting up his face. Foster decided he wanted to do some reading in bed as well.

Giving Jelly Cat a Ride

Jelly Cat and Foster have become best friends and during the last few weeks, he has been a constant companion, and is at Foster's side whenever we are at home. One day Foster decided that Jelly Cat needed a ride in the Ergo and a bottle because he was thirsty.

Eid Mubarak!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Eid, the end of the Muslim Ramadan, a month in which Muslims fast during the day. We dressed up in our traditional Indian outfits for an Iftar, a special meal held during Ramadan. One wonderful thing about our experience in India, has been learning about so many other cultures and religions.
