What an Assam weekend!

Last weekend we headed to the Northeast State of Assam, about a 4 hour plane ride from Hyderabad. A land of tea plantations, elephants and the protected white rhinoceros. We had a great time, although Foster was not up for the elephant ride. One day he will probably look at these photos and think--what was I thinking, I missed out on an elephant ride. These photos are courtesy Ashley and Omar, friends who joined us on the trip.

A Fort and mini Taj Mahal

We rounded up the day visiting a replica of the Taj Mahal the Bibi Ka Maqbara and the Fort, called Daulatabad.

Oops--this was from our trip back in April, but it never got posted.

And a tired little boy snags a nap wherever he can--such a good traveler.

Front Seat to an Indian Wedding

A few weeks ago, the lawn outside our apartment building was transformed into a wedding party. We got to have a front seat to the music and dancing. Foster loved the entertainment.

Bye Bye Grandma

Thank you Grandma such a good visit! So much laughing, reading, playing with airplanes and boats and trains while you were here! We were sad to see you go.

Big SPLASH!!

As we all know Foster is half fish, he has taken his aquatic antics to a new level, at the diving board of the local pool.

"Do it again," were the first words he said after taking the plunge  few weeks ago for the first time.

3--Success!

Undies FUNdies!!

Since Grandma came to visit last week, Foster has been sporting some new undies as he learns to use the potty. All of the accouterments of pottying (the happy dance, the potty dance, undies) seem to be more appealing than the actually deed, but he is definitely having a good time.

And we definitely have some good picts for use when he brings his first girlfriend over to the house.

Jelly cat definitely needs to try this out.
