Meeting Baby Rasheed

One of our friends in India just arrived with their new baby. Foster is no longer the youngest member of the Consulate family. He has been practicing by carrying his own baby around and learning to "be gentle" and "nice" when touching the baby. Here's a video: http://youtu.be/zguzSCST6m4 Foster was not so excited with having to share mom with the baby (as soon as she was holding Rasheed he needed to be held, RIGHT THEN!!), but he is looking forward to a new friend at the Consulate.

Best pals!
Rasheed, we need to talk about this being a baby thing, I have some tips to share!

Ok, our ten seconds of hanging out are over!

Potty Time

I am just starting to get acquainted with my ducky potty. I found out that I enjoy it much better with some reading material.

Dress Up at Daycare--Indian Style

Looking through Foster's daycare photos the other day, we discovered these gems amongst the painting, reading, and playing photos. I guess dressing up as baby Lord Krishna is just one of those things kids do here in India.

Our morning ritual

Dad thinks that I do it just to snag bites of peanut butter and toast, but I really think that it's important to understand what is happening in the world before I start my day.

18 Months--oh what fun I am having

I talk a lot, from the moment I get up in the morning until I fall asleep at night. Repeating things and pointing to things, trying to figure out all of the words for all of these things in my world. In the car I love to point out the "buses" and the "tuk-tuks." At home I am always asking to "sit" and read "books," or "butter (peanut butter). I especially love animals, and learning the sounds of the monkey, cow, chicken, frog, duck, tiger, cats and dogs. I am still quite a charmer in India and snagged a free hair cut today on account of how cute I was. Mom and Dad seemed to be worried about my predilection for purposefully falling on my butt and jumping off of the coach ("one, two, three"). One of the things that makes me laugh is when someone sneezes and then I say "bless you."
